4 week live online course
Awakening Body
beginning January 2027
become available to life
A four-week embodiment course exploring new ways of being.
For when thinking your way through leads you in loops. For when you're ready to move beyond fixing. Your body is more than something to be managed. Discover what becomes possible when embodiment is no longer a means to an end, but a way of life.
Awakening Body is a small group course guiding you through a sequence of embodied explorations to discover new possibilities for how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. Each week combines conversation, guided somatic practice, and reflection.
From going through the motions of life
→ to greater presence, connection, and creativity
We’ll slow down and cultivate attention to the feeling of ourselves in connection to our bodies and the world around us. We'll awaken to a sense of full embodied presence.
From intellectually understanding yourself
→ to directly feeling and sensing yourself from within the body
What more can we know about ourselves and our experience through the body? What deeper intelligence can we tap into through our felt-sense?
From familiar or habitual patterns
→ to new ways of perceiving and responding
Through somatic awareness, self inquiry, and arts-based reflection, we’ll observe the patterns we inhabit, and explore what else might be possible when we shift our perception and take new action.

Awakening Body is an invitation to explore what becomes possible when we listen more closely to the intelligence of our living body.
Through somatic inquiry, sensory awareness, and embodied play, we'll investigate our relationship with our bodies, ourselves, and the world around us. We'll practice attending to experience without rushing to interpret or change it, staying with what we find, and experimenting with new ways of perceiving and participating in our lives.
This is not about adding more practices to your routine, healing trauma, or regulating your nervous system. We will not be orienting to managing symptoms or trying to solve a problem. Awakening Body is not another "healing path" that promises a better other side. This course invites you to fully inhabit where you are ⎯ to embody greater presence, connection, and creativity ⎯ even among the mess.
This is for you if:
-
You're tired of feeling like a self-improvement project, and ready to enjoy your life.
-
You've spent years reflecting on and analyzing your life, and you're ready to explore a different way forward.
-
You're spread thin by the demands of everyday life, and longing to feel more present in it.
-
You find yourself on the surface of your life, going through the motions, longing for greater depth, vitality, and creativity.
-
You're curious about embodiment not just as wellness or healing practices, but as a way of experiencing and participating in life.

I so enjoyed this 4 week course facilitated by Lillian, the space was well held and the other group members so delightful and welcoming. I found the whole experience quite magical and joyful, which really allowed me to explore and play freely. I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to reconnect to their body and fall in love with the experience of being in the being.

Lillian can ignite curiosity and play into her classes that help me deepen my experience. To understand how movement happens in my body and how my body comes and plays in the community. She is a powerful instigator of movement and embodiment.

Being a part of "Awakening Body" was an absolute delight. Lillian's openness, encouragement and guidance through the process supported me to expand my relationship with my body. I enjoyed meeting other people with a passion for body wisdom, healing and creativity. My favourite part is that I am remembering the potency and abundance in my body during quiet, spacious moments - when I am able to bring awareness to my body in the present moment and listen, I receive myself in new and surprising ways. Learning new pathways to welcome my body means that I deepen my relationship with my body. This has been so healing for me. Thank you so much, Lillian.

Lillian Kemanis is a dancer, somatic practitioner, and embodiment educator whose work explores the intersections of body, perception, creativity, and ways of knowing beyond the rational. With a background in dance, psychology, and an MA in Dance and Somatic Well-being, she brings over a decade of experience guiding people in movement and embodied inquiry. Her approach is grounded in curiosity, attentive listening, and the possibilities that emerge when we loosen our assumptions about what we already know. Rather than offering a prescribed path toward self-improvement, Lillian creates spaces for people to slow down, deepen their relationship with their own experience, and discover new ways of perceiving, responding, and participating in their lives.
